Snow Day Saturday

We woke up Saturday morning to a Winter Wonderland outside.  It was beautiful.  We were supposed to be headed out for a birthday party, so we were snowed in. But the kids LOVED the snow.  It was the first snow of the season that actually stuck enough to play in.  Martin enjoyed every minute of it.  Livi wanted to walk in it and play in it, but didn't have any interest in any snow balls!  We built a small snowman.  It started off really powdery and dry, and then by noon was really slushy.

Our Little Snowflake Turned ONE

Olivia TURNS One!

We had a Winter ONEderland theme for Olivia's first birthday!  It was so fun, and a great party!  It was the weekend after Christmas which made it hard for all of the out of town family to make it, but lots of our family and friends were still able to make the trip!  It was a great time, and Olivia had an absolute blast.  I know when she gets a little older she will not agree to Christmas-like themes for her birthday, so we decided to go ahead this year since she can't exactly argue yet.  We were so thankful for our first year with this sweet baby girl!  She has such a spunky little personality and is an absolute blast.

She weighed 16.5 lbs at a year, and was 29.5 inches tall.  Tall and skinny!  She is sooo tiny, and everyone is always shocked by her age, and the fact that she is walking because they think she is younger based on her size.  She started walking at 10 1/2 months (pretty much exactly like her brother)!  And had 7 teeth by her first birthday.  She LOVES to read books, and is going to be a lover of anything outside.  Her favorite books right now are: Ten Little Ladybugs, Show Me Your Ears Peter Rabbit, and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.  She says about 5 words right now.  Mama, Daddy, Bubba, baby, Bay-bay (Bailey our dog).  But she talks gibberish allllll day long.  Never stops talking or running around our house. She LOVES music and dancing and singing.  She loves splashing in the bathtub and playing with anything her brother is playing with.

Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!!!  We love you.
